Flashback arrestor is safety equipment to protect gas flow returning while welding process being the cause of gas cylinder explode.

Generally consists of the important 3 parts.

Valve to control the flow in one direction.
Adsorbent or extinguishment a return fire.

Heat detector will immediately shut down the gas flow once the heat occurs.

Flashback arrestor protect gas flow returning and avoid the seriously accident. Installed at the outlet of air-gas gauge and the inlet at torch body.

There are 2 types for flashback arrestor, one is connected with torch body and another one is connected with gauge.

Flashback arrestor-right thread (blue color) is for oxygen.
Flashback arrestor-left thread (red color) is for fuel gas.
